Privacy Policy
We keep this short on purpose. We collect the minimum needed to reply to you and to recover our hardware — nothing more. We don't sell your information, and we don't run third-party ad or tracking scripts.
What we collect
- When you contact us: the name, email, company (if provided), the topic or service you select, and the message you submit through our inquiry or contact forms.
- When you scan an asset tag: approximate location (derived from your IP address by our hosting provider), device and browser type, and — only if you explicitly allow it — your precise GPS location to help us recover lost equipment.
- Basic site analytics: aggregate, cookieless visit counts. No cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles.
How we use it
To respond to your inquiry, to recover Valencia Labs property that has been lost or found, and to keep the site secure and working. That's the full list. We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't sell or rent it to anyone.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers strictly to operate the site:
- Cloudflare — hosting, security, and cookieless analytics.
- Resend — delivering the email notifications generated by our forms.
These providers process data only to provide their service to us. We don't share your information with anyone else except where required by law.
Cookies & tracking
This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics are cookieless and aggregate. Because we don't track you across sites, we treat all "Do Not Track" browser signals as a request not to be tracked — which is already how the site behaves by default.
Data retention
Form submissions and asset-scan notifications arrive as email and are kept only as long as needed to respond or to recover equipment, then deleted in the ordinary course. We don't maintain a marketing database.
Your choices & rights
Sharing precise location on an asset page is always optional — the site works without it. To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email [email protected] and we'll take care of it. California residents may exercise applicable rights under California privacy law through the same address.
Children
This site is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll revise the effective date above and post the new version here.
